Hyathi will be the first company in Gorakhpur to launch an investment fund of ₹1CR to support tech startups in the region.

Hyathi provides opportunities to the people of Gorakhpur and the nearby area by offering them a competitive salary compared to Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Pune. Talents that couldn’t go to these cities due to some family emergency can now sustain and grow in Gorakhpur, says Uddeshya very proudly.

He spoke in an exclusive interview with Lucknow Review, sharing about their enthralling saga of Hyathi’s Indian and international success.

As one of the fastest-growing companies in the industry, could you take us back to the beginning of your journey? What motivated you to enter this dynamic ecosystem?

Born into a lower-middle-class family in Gorakhpur, I witnessed my father grow his business. It ignited my entrepreneurial spirit early on. My passion for technology started in 2nd grade when I got my first computer. It only grew as I learned to troubleshoot, repair, and explore cybersecurity after facing a virus attack. This led me to dig deeper into internet security and finally towards development with an itch to develop something that can’t be ‘hacked.’ Despite financial challenges, I launched my first company in 10th grade, ‘Uddeshya Infotech,’ and later created a viral app, ‘Motu Messenger,’ which solidified my path in tech. It was my determination and curiosity that kept me going, and today, those same qualities drive my journey in this dynamic ecosystem at ‘Hyathi Technologies.’

Could you share the guiding philosophy that has propelled Hyathi Technologies’ success?

Our guiding philosophy was born out of my experience working on the DentoGulf app for one of my very first clients. Seeing his happiness after I brought his vision to life and generated significant revenue was a pivotal moment that showed me the power of my technical skills to turn ideas into successful products. This realization inspired me to help others with innovative ideas, but I lacked the technical expertise to execute them.

At Hyathi, our core belief is that we grow when our clients grow. We treat every project as a partnership, investing deeply in their success. Our philosophy, “alone we go fast, together we go far,” reflects our dedication to delivering precision, quality, and lasting impact. We approach software engineering with the same seriousness as other engineering disciplines, ensuring that every solution we build is something we can be proud of, with a commitment to excellence driving our success.

Your inspiring leadership style is often recognized as a driving force behind your firm’s achievements. Could you explain your approach to leadership and team building within the organization?

I am a big fan of the quote, “A small team of A+ players can run circles around a giant team of B and C players.” As a founder, my approach to leadership centres on setting high standards and being a role model for my team. I believe that a leader’s actions set the tone for the entire organization, and by striving to be an A+ player, I aim to inspire my team to excel. Building a team of top performers requires careful delegation and trust, understanding the right balance of responsibility, and managing expectations.

One of my main challenges has been finding the right balance between trust and responsibility while implementing processes that maintain team satisfaction. I focus on creating solutions that are not only technically excellent but also marketable and problem-solving, which naturally drives business growth. My leadership is about fostering a culture where quality and client satisfaction lead to success, allowing our work to speak for itself.

Business growth revolves around innovation, disruptions, and enhancing the end-user experience. How does your company strike a balance between operational efficiency and customer satisfaction?

Digitalization and technological advancements are crucial aspects of the modern business ecosystem. How does your company integrate these principles into its core functioning and contribute to a technovative future?

We are from a generation that saw a billion-dollar company, Kodak, go down to ashes just because it didn’t cope with digitalization.

Ours has always been an adaptive company.

During COVID-19, when the world was adopting Live Streaming, Hyathi built and sold one of the most widely used LiveStreaming Games.

Then came the era of Web3 and blockchain, when Hyathi built apps like Desofy and Vibehut, which were among the most used Web3 Social Media Applications.

Even before AI was popular, Hyathi built Predictive Chat in 2022 and sold it to a big telecom company in the USA.

Today, when AI is very well known, Hyathi has developed products like Verifiction to combat deepfakes and other AI tools to foster AI usage across numerous use cases.

We believe that software became obsolete yesterday. So, the only way to grow is to keep up with the right trends at the right time, and thanks to our brilliant team, we are super fast at catching up on trends before they start booming.

The workforce is the cornerstone of any successful organization. How does your company foster a culture of growth, skill development, and empowerment among its employees?

At Hyathi Technologies, we cultivate a culture of growth, skill development, and empowerment by creating an environment where employees feel valued and free to innovate. Inspired by my own early experiences of being given complete freedom to explore and create, we aim to offer the same level of autonomy and trust to our team.

We prioritize fairness and responsibility, allowing team members to choose their tasks and set their own deadlines. This approach fosters a sense of ownership and encourages personal and professional growth. Management’s role is to support and ensure efficiency while respecting individual decisions and valuing everyone’s time.

Hyathi has likely faced its share of challenges. Could you share an instance where your team’s resilience and ingenuity triumphed over adversity?

A memorable instance where our team’s resilience and ingenuity triumphed was during COVID-19. As the tech industry surged, especially in video calling and gaming, an agency initially assigned us a simpler video call project, while a competitor received a complex live video call poker game project.

Despite lacking experience in poker games, my co-founder Deepanshu and I took it upon ourselves to tackle the challenge. We adapted an open-source poker game into TypeScript, built the front end on React, and integrated video calling using a third-party service—all within a week. The competitor had estimated a three-month timeline for a similar project from scratch.

When we presented our poker game to the agency, we explained our motivation and apologized for working on it without prior approval. Our initiative not only impressed the agency but also led to the poker game’s global success, eventually being sold to a major gaming company.

This experience highlighted our team’s ability to overcome adversity through creativity and determination. It showed that exceeding expectations and taking proactive steps can result in remarkable achievements and opportunities.

What would be your advice to other budding entrepreneurs who aspire to venture into the modern business space?

Offer Something Extra: Go beyond the standard expectations by adding extra value for your clients.

Learn to Delegate: Delegation is key to scaling your business. Trying to handle everything yourself can impede growth.

Be Lenient Initially: When starting out, especially with your first clients, prioritize their satisfaction. Offer discounts, over-deliver features, and maintain positive communication.

Honour Your Commitments: Follow through on promises without excuses.

Adapt to Market Trends: Stay flexible and adapt to changing technologies and market trends.

Looking to the future, what is your vision for your firm? How do you aspire to continue making a significant impact on India’s evolving business landscape?

One of our goals is to retain India’s top talent by offering them the top-tier salary they fetch by moving out of India. This way, the top-tier talent remains in India and continues to work for India. On the other side of the spectrum, we aim to build and offer top-tier services and products to off-shore companies that drive revenue and help boost India’s economy. Finally, we aim to work with the government to make India’s digital landscape better. Today, India is being termed as the fastest-growing AI product country! We are optimistic that Hyathi will ride the wave as a leader in providing AI security and AI services to all aspects of Indian needs to foster efficiency and reduce costs.

Also, my vision for Hyathi Technologies is ambitious and transformative.

In the next five years: We aim to make our first 100 hires millionaires by creating substantial value for them as the company goes public. Our goal is for all of our clients to be successful, revenue-generating companies, with Hyathi playing a crucial role in their growth and, in turn, benefiting from their success.

In ten years: We aspire to be listed on the major national and international exchanges and establish a presence in four major global locations. Our vision is to become India’s largest development shop, setting new standards in how software is developed and delivered as a service globally.

By focusing on these goals, we aim to make a significant impact on India’s evolving business landscape and continue driving innovation and excellence in the tech industry.
