In a world where small businesses and entrepreneurs often struggle to find their footing in the digital landscape, one company set out to change the game. It began as a simple idea born from a pressing need: helping small businesses, SMEs, and MSMEs bridge the gap between their products and the vast opportunities of the global digital marketplace.
Enter eCommercians MARP Private Limited. Founded amidst challenges like limited funds and scarce resources, the company’s journey was one of resilience and purpose. The vision was clear—equip businesses not only with services but with a platform that teaches them how to thrive in a digital world. From marketing to sales, eCommercians MARP aimed to empower brands to achieve global exposure.
Built on a foundation of trust, the team behind eCommercians understands that true leadership isn’t self-declared but earned when clients trust them to guide their businesses into the digital age. Without relying on a singular “secret ingredient,” the company offers something far more valuable—a dedicated commitment to growth, innovation, and unwavering support for the businesses it serves.
What started as a small initiative is now pushing the boundaries of digital commerce, helping businesses everywhere turn their visions into global success stories.
We at Lucknow Review conducted an interview with Arpit Dilip Gupta, Director, to know more about working at eCommercians. Below are the highlights of the interview:
As one of the best IT services and Digital Marketing companies in the industry, could you take us back to the beginning of your journey? What motivated you to step into this dynamic ecosystem?
I got this idea after experiencing a simple problem while I was working. E-commerce and internet buying and selling were gradually growing in India, but small businesses were unable to understand them due to reasons like lack of awareness and trust. I identified this problem and started the business to help small businesses, SMEs, and MSMEs sell their products and to create a bridge between them and the digital marketplace.
eCommercians MARP has emerged as one of Agra’s best companies. Could you share the guiding philosophy that has propelled your organization’s success?
I’m not sure if my company is among the best digital marketing services in Agra, but I do know that we have never given our customers false hopes. We work with our customers as partners, admiring and supporting each other’s views, which is a productive step towards building a brand. Our belief is that you should remain loyal to your customers and provide them with the right guidance.
The Digital landscape is continually evolving. Please brief our audience about your firm’s USPs and how you stand unique in your industry.
I completely agree that the IT and digital marketing landscape is continuously evolving, and we are adapting to these changes. We don’t have a USP like a secret ingredient, but I believe we offer more than just services. We partner with our customers on every problem they face. Whether our customers call us in the middle of the night or on Sundays, we are always available. For us, relationships matter more than commercials, which is perhaps why our first customers are still with us today. Our way of working makes us unique. We don’t just explain the pros of a product to our customers, but also the cons. We work from scratch on pricing, provide handholding support, offer training, and, most importantly, build trust.
Your inspiring leadership style is often recognized as a driving force behind your firm’s achievements. Could you explain your approach to leadership and team building within the organization?
I believe that calling yourself a leader doesn’t make you one; you become a leader when your team starts to trust you. My team trusts me, which is why I am able to lead them. Everyone in my team is more experienced than I am, and I’ve worked with each of them individually, so I know their strengths and weaknesses. My job is simply to ensure that everyone is assigned to the right tasks and working effectively.
The world of Digital Marketing revolves around innovation, disruptions, and enhancing the end-user experience. How does your company strike a balance between operational efficiency and customer satisfaction?
Customer satisfaction follows a simple process: your customers should receive the right information at the right time. Delays are forgivable if the customer is pre-notified. Yes, results do matter because, at the end of the day, we are in business to deliver results for our clients. However, it’s also our job to inform our customers about why business may not be coming in, how it can be improved, and what should be done or avoided. Especially in our profession, where things change daily, our entire team works on every upgrade, attends expos and exhibitions, and participates in webinars and seminars—basically, we gather information from wherever we can and adapt accordingly.
Digitalization and technological advancements are crucial aspects of the modern business ecosystem. How does eCommercians MARP integrate these principles into its core functioning and contribute to a technovative future?
As I mentioned earlier, we are currently working on an app that will create a complete ecosystem from head to toe, which we have named ABCDE—”Anybody Can Do E-commerce.” With this app, using AI and without human intervention, you will not only be able to sell your products digitally but also access services like advertising, listing, reconciliation, and GST mapping, among many others. It may take some time to launch, but this will be our contribution to a technovative future.
The workforce is the cornerstone of any successful organization. How does your company foster a culture of growth, skill development, and empowerment among its employees?
Yes, I completely agree with this and actively implement it in my company. We have taken many initiatives, such as performance-based salaries—our team’s salaries grow as the company grows, and since implementing this, we have never experienced a decline. My entire team learns every skill according to their profiles, and we conduct sessions where any member can teach a skill to the whole team. We encourage freedom of speech, and everyone’s views are respected. These small things truly matter when it comes to building a great company.
Your firm has likely faced its share of challenges. Could you share an instance where your team’s resilience and ingenuity triumphed over adversity?
Yes, absolutely, every enterprise’s journey is quite similar. When I started this business, we faced many challenges, including limited funds and resources. I clearly remember when I had to inform my entire team that it would be difficult to pay salaries next month, and I could only manage 30% of their salaries. I told them that if they wanted to leave, I would respect their decision. However, my team not only supported me, but they also sacrificed their entire salaries. Together, we worked hard to grow the company, and I feel very blessed that I had the opportunity to repay their sacrifices last year.
What would be your advice to other budding entrepreneurs who aspire to venture into the IT and Digital Marketing space?
If anyone wants to make digital selling or marketing their profession, the first thing they need is patience. It takes patience to build a core team and to retain customers; it’s like nurturing a plant until it grows into a tree. When I started this business, I didn’t know much about running a business; I only understood e-commerce. I focused on that and gradually connected with the right people.
Looking to the future, what is your vision for eCommercians MARP? How do you aspire to continue making a significant impact on India’s Digital landscape?
For the future, we are focused on creating an e-commerce ecosystem that allows even the smallest sellers from any corner of India to comfortably and confidently sell their products or services online. We believe this ecosystem will enable everyone to learn how to market and sell their products digitally and gain global exposure.
